ISO 9001 : 2015
At FMB Trading & Engineering Pte Ltd , we strongly believe in producing quality products to our customers.
ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the most popular standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard in the series to which organizations can certify.
ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an international agency composed of the national standards bodies of more than 160 countries. The current version of ISO 9001 was released in September 2015
ISO 9001 is based on the plan-do-check-act methodology and provides a process-oriented approach to documenting and reviewing the structure, responsibilities, and procedures required to achieve effective quality management in an organization. Specific sections of the standard contain information on topics such as:
- Requirements for a quality management system, including documented information, planning and determining process interactions
- Responsibilities of management
- Management of resources, including human resources and an organization’s work environment
- Product realization, including the steps from design to delivery
- Measurement, analysis, and improvement of the QMS through activities like internal audits and corrective and preventive action
BS OHSAS 18001
Sound occupational health and safety policies are essential for employees, but they are also increasingly important for your customers and other stakeholders. Occupational Health and Safety Management systems certification to OHSAS 18001 is a strong sign of your organization’s commitment to your employees’ health and safety.
Many organizations implement an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) as a fundamental part of their risk management strategy to address changing legislation and protect their workforce and other persons working under their control.
OHSAS 18001 certification enables organizations to manage operational health and safety risks and improve performance.
OHSAS 18001:2007 addresses the following key areas:
- Hazard identification, risk assessment and determining controls
- Legal and other requirements
- Objectives and OHS program(s)
- Resources, roles, responsibility, accountability and authority
- Competence, training and awareness
- Communication, participation and consultation
- Operational control
- Emergency preparedness and response
- Performance measuring, monitoring and improvement
bizSAFE Level STAR – Workplace Safety and Health
Level 1
To embark on the bizSAFE journey, your enterprise’s top management has to sign up for a bizSAFE Workshop for CEOs/Top Management with inclusion of SGSecure objectives conducted by bizSAFE service providers.
Upon completion of the Workshop, your company will be granted bizSAFE Level 1 status.
Going on to Level 2 and 3
For Level 2, your enterprise must nominate a Risk Management (RM) Champion to attend a bizSAFE Course on “Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan” and include RM capabilities in managing terror incidents.
The journey continues
For Level 4, your enterprise must nominate a Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) Programme Lead to attend the bizSAFE course on Develop a Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) Implementation Plan. With the acquired knowledge, the WSHMS Programme Lead must be able to develop a WSHMS Implementation Plan for your enterprise.
The above certifications are meant for laser cutting, metal bending, rolling and fabrication services.
